Meet Lindsay Semper of New Braunfels

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Semper

Lindsay, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
For the last decade, I have been practicing real estate in our New Braunfels area. I made a scary, but faithful decision to leave my career in counseling to pursue a different pathway to helping people. When I started real estate, I had one little boy who changed my whole world. I jumped into real estate in an effort to build a better life for him. And despite my success in the profession, I always felt like there was a calling that I wasn’t answering by only being involved in real estate. After having my second baby- a little girl- in my first year of real estate, I began to see that real estate was not just a profession, it was also a platform to be able to reach a grand assortment of people. Right after the birth of our third and last child in 2019, I created a networking group in 2020. Despite a global pandemic, we were able to stay connected enough to grow and build ourselves into a tight knit family who came together repeatedly to raise funds and awareness for our local nonprofit partners. Each year, we host 2 fundraisers and that have raised over $50,000 in donations over the last 5 years of efforts. They are some of the most outstanding groups of individuals that I have ever had the privilege to lead. In the 10 years that I have spent in real estate, I have helped upwards of 500 families with their hurdles and triumphs of buying or selling their homes. But the true value I find in what I do is the work we do for our local organizations. It feeds the loss felt from counseling and allows me to still provide value to people in our community who need us. We have made a promise to one another to always come first from contribution. The rest will all provide if you can help enough people get what they need first. I am currently still doing real estate and leading the Elevate Networking Alliance organization. I have also taken on a few new projects since my divorce in summer of 2023. Since that time, I have helped open two new businesses called The Weighted Plate and Bar None, a speak easy and a mobile bar. I am always interested taking chances, saying go, and learning through all of it.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I feel like my biggest struggle along the way was finding the bigger purpose and drive to continue moving forward continuously to make the efforts turn into results. Over the last decade or so in this career, we have been faced with some major market shifts that have helped me not only become successful in this realm, but also have caused me to dig deep with every down shift.
Over the course of the last 10 years, I have had two children (3 total) in the midst of building a life and a business in an ever changing and turbulent market and economy. Navigating motherhood and still trying to maintain the rigor needed to stay afloat in real estate has been one of the hardest struggles. So many times, I have felt the pull and strain of motherhood in opposition to the needs and responsibilities of my job.
It was for these reasons that my ex-husband and I ultimately decided to join a real estate team that allowed us the leverage and help we needed to run both a business and a family. We struggled over the years with finding balance between creating a loving and successful marriage, while also trying to maintain the business. In December of 2022, we made the choice to leave the team we had helped create and build to a high producing powerhouse team in New Braunfels. After a year of not finding the growth and direction we were looking for within the team, we decided it was best to part ways. And in 2023, we made the decision to end our marriage. 2023 was by far one of the hardest years of my life, dividing interests and assets, dividing time with our children, dividing family units and friendships, and dividing the business. What we had built for almost 13 years prior was all changing and changing quickly.
In 2024, I met a man who helped breathe much needed life back into me. And over the course of the next year, we revamped and built a new business by renovating an 1840’s Stagecoach Stop into a beautiful speak easy, which was no small feat. In less than 2 months, we had completely renovated the building, opening up a whole other realm of business knowledge. My kids stuck by me for long days and late nights, helping clean, build, paint and renovate. We spent time, savings, and all of our resources on this project, most times to the extent of exhaustion. Somehow, we made it out alive. Through all of the challenges and struggles, I have had some of my lowest moments in my life. I struggled with depression and anxiety greatly in the latter part of just 2024 and lost so much more than I could have ever imagined. It’s tough to even talk about and put down in writing.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a local realtor, Lindsay builds meaningful relationships with her clients that are fostered throughout the years into business relationships, friendships, and even partnerships. Lindsay helps grow and development her client’s goals and long-term plans for investing in real estate by providing connections to local resources, creating opportunities for education, and also personally investing in properties as well.
Lindsay is a high producing agent powered by Vista Realty, a hyper local and intimate brokerage centered in the heart of New Braunfels. For the last 10 years, she has been assisting families in the central Texas region buy, sell, and invest in real estate. In 2022, Lindsay was voted New Braunfels’ Best of the Best Realtor, and ranked in the Top 3 in 2023 and 2024, standing out amongst hundreds of local realtors in her community. She is also the president of a local networking group, Elevate Networking Alliance, who stay highly active in the nonprofit community, as well as the New Braunfels and surrounding areas.
I specialize in helping families, specifically first-time homebuyers, achieve their goals of buying a home. It is important to me to keep a relationship strong with my past clients to help them build out a legacy. I don’t believe that there is any hurdle that we can’t get past, with the right resources and drive. I often tell my clients… I am the steering wheel, they are the gas pedal. I will help them get there; they just have to determine how fast or slow we drive. I genuinely love being a resource for them.

Beyond all of the career achievements, Lindsay is best known for her magnetic energy, creative abilities, and desire to connect others. When you are around Lindsay, you feel the push and the drive to want to do more and dig deeper. Her supportive and inquisitive nature help open up your mind and your thoughts to dream big and not give in to fear or excuses. She leads with a servant heart and a warrior ethic.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
One of the mentors that stands out to me the most poignantly is Chris Allen. He was my first broker in real estate and his passion for helping others built the foundation for my entire real estate career. It was through his guidance and education that I have been able to help so many families. He always treated me like family. He mentored me for years and always helped me find solutions to the problems that families came to me with. It was through his belief in me that I was able to dive further into this career and build it to what it is today.
I have also had a strong drive and influence from my real estate coaches- Steve and Angela Collins and business coach- Kerstin Oleta that kept my focus, inspired me to make changes, and supported me through some of my lowest points.
