Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Haygood
Hi Emily, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Like many people, I struggled with acne in high school and tried everything, Accutane, Proactiv, and every DIY skincare mask I could find. Through that journey, I discovered a real passion for skincare and knew I wanted to help others feel confident in their skin. Shortly after high school, I enrolled in esthetician school at Ogle San Antonio, after graduating from Ogle, I knew that I wanted a well rounded education, so I continued learning and went to National Laser Institute in Dallas. From there, I spent seven years working in various Med Spas, gaining experience and perfecting my skills. Then, I took a leap of faith and founded haygoodlookin aesthetics, and I haven’t looked back since!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey hasn’t always been smooth. For a long time, I didn’t think owning my own business was in the cards for me. I worked in some… less than ideal places and, more than once, considered leaving the industry altogether. It was challenging to work for/with people who didn’t share my passion for client care and skincare. But I’m so grateful I didn’t let those negative experiences define my path. Now, I get to create a space that not only reflects my values but also provides the best possible environment for my clients.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about haygoodlookin aesthetics?
I am now the proud owner of haygoodlookin aesthetics LLC, where I blend holistic and clinical skincare. While I offer treatments like chemical peels and nano-needling, my true passion lies in facial massage. We treat every other muscle in the body with movement and massage to prevent atrophy and release tension, so why neglect the face? I specialize in fascia and buccal massage, a technique that promotes deep healing and rejuvenation. In fact, I’m the only provider in all of New Braunfels offering buccal massage!
I first learned about buccal massage in 2020 and wanted to introduce it at the medspa where I worked. But I was told it was ‘too holistic’ and wouldn’t be profitable. Now, nearly a year into offering the technique on my own, it has become my most popular service! I’m so grateful to bring this unique, results driven approach to my clients.

My clients mean everything to me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. I’ve created a space that celebrates diversity, understanding, and compassion. Skincare isn’t just about pampering or enhancing external beauty; it’s about nurturing the confidence and inner radiance that already exists within each person who walks through my door.
