Community Highlights: Meet Josie Johnson of Community Director, 300 Main

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josie Johnson

Josie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After a bit of a hiatus while being a stay at home mom for 14 years, I got back in the Property Management industry when I relocated to San Antonio in 2014. I started as a Leasing Professional and have been fortunate enough to have had some pretty incredible leaders and mentors who’ve been pivotal in my professional growth. Over the last 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to manage some of San Antonio’s most luxurious and exclusive apartment communities.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The Covid Pandemic hit right after I was promoted from an Assistant Community Director to Community Director. Not only was I still learning my new position, but I (like the rest of the world) was now learning how to navigate a new way of managing my team and my residents, while trying to sustain a multi million dollar asset.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Community Director, 300 Main?
Josie is the community director for 300 Main. Josie oversees all aspects of community operations, including leasing, maintenance, and resident services. Josie and her incredible leasing team specialize in creating dynamic experiential events and implementing marketing strategies to attract and delight residents. Working to develop unique partnerships within the Downtown West community, Josie and team are focused on creating a positive impact and adding value to urban living.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
The art of neighboring is one of the concepts that Kairoi Residential emphasizes the importance of to its leaders and teams, and I absolutely love it! Creating relationships with, and supporting the local businesses within our neighborhood only strengthens our community as a whole. I get super excited about being able to cater to our residents while collaborating and partnering with our fellow businesses and business owners. My residents feel taken care of, and so do our friends and neighbors. It’s a win the whole way around and it creates a sense of community that I think more and more people are seeking and it makes people more vested in the community.
