Exploring Life & Business with Ansley Escalona of Align with Ansley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ansley Escalona

Hi Ansley, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Ansley Escalona, I was born and raised in Houston, and was a professional ballerina in New York City. After my professional career I moved home to be closer to family. When I returned home I opened up my own business, Align with Ansley. I became a licensed NeuFit practitioner, NeuFit is a method created in Austin. I use a specialized machine called the Neubie to enhance the fitness and rehab experience for my clients. I started with personal training and realized how many people could benefit from this kind of training, how many people had under utilized muscles that we can wake up just by using the Neufit method, or the injuries that can be strengthened after they are cleared from PT. I use the power of the Neubie (electrodes & neuromuscular re-education), my knowledge of dance, and biomechanics to train my clients. Today I have clients at two different locations, from body builders, fitness enthusiasts, ACL/MCL recovery, postpartum mothers, and my favorite… high level dancers. I am so blessed with my business today and the people I have gotten the chance to work with along the way.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like every small business it was hard building my client list at first, but with the help of my mentors I was able to gain the momentum I needed to eventually become full time with my business.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Align with Ansley ?
I am a personal trainer in the New Bruanfuls area. I specialize in neuromuscular re-education using a machine called the neubie. This machine utilizes direct current (DC) to offer targeted stimulation, the Neubie promotes faster healing, pain reduction, and strength improvements. I am the only female neufit trainer in my area, and I love to help postpartum mothers get back into the gym. I have gotten to help clients with multiple spinal fractures return to the gym, and build muscle. I have been able to change the physique of bikini competitors so they can win competitions! I have also seen my dancers develop strength and proper technique using my training style.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I am go to a pilates instructor at Gruene Pilates that keeps me motivated and able to move my spine. I think that cross training is the key to a great training split
